Automation

HedgeHogs automation is the loop you see above: earn fees, reinvest or repay, keep the position healthy — with no one watching the screen.

The mechanism

A strategy is a set of rules attached to your specific positions — harvest fees above a floor, compound them back in, rebalance a ranged LP past a band, repay debt when the health factor drops. The bot checks your positions and executes a strategy when its conditions are met.

Two things make that safe:

1. Execution goes through your account. Every strategy call runs inside your HedgeHog account, with its rules enforced on-chain — never through a custody-holding intermediary.
2. The bot's reach is the directory's whitelist. It can only call strategies that are approved and bot-callable, and strategy proceeds always return to you. What the bot can and cannot do is on the account model page.

Building a strategy

Strategies are built in /strategies with the New automation wizard — Name → Entities → Routing → Protections → [Authorize] → Review — and need you to authorize the bot once. The full walkthrough is Automations overview; each primitive has its own page.

Staying in control

• Pause / resume any strategy; the change applies to the next check.
• Exit & Uninstall closes every position a strategy manages and sweeps the funds back to your wallet.
• Revoke the bot entirely and nothing can run again — the moment you do.
