Deploy your account

The one-time step that unlocks every HedgeHog action — what it is, what it costs, and how it stays yours.

Every HedgeHog action routes through your HedgeHog account — a smart-contract wallet deployed for you on-chain. It is not a HedgeHogs-controlled wallet; you are its sole owner.

Why the account exists

Traditional DeFi has you approve each protocol for each token yourself, then sign every transaction. A HedgeHog account gives you:

  • One approval per token — you approve your account once; it handles protocol approvals as it goes.
  • Automation — an approved bot can execute the strategies you enable (compound, repay, rebalance…), which requires someone to move your positions. That someone is your account, under your rules.
  • Cross-protocol positions — aTokens, LP positions and debt balances all live in one place you can see and unwind.

Deploying

  1. Do anything that needs an account — supply, borrow, add liquidity — and the app opens the Deploy your HedgeHog account panel.
  2. Review the estimated network fee. It is a one-time deployment.
  3. Confirm the transaction. When it lands, the app shows HedgeHog account deployed on <chain>.

You deploy once per chain. Your account on Ethereum is a different account from your account on Base or BNB.

Who controls it

You are the owner. Only you can withdraw funds, and you can revoke the bot at any time — even while the protocol is paused. The HedgeHogs admin can pause the protocol or set fee rates, but can never move money out of your account.

Checking your accounts

The wallet pill in the top bar shows how many of your chains have an account deployed. Settings → HedgeHog accounts lists every chain with a Deploy / Deployed state, so you can see at a glance what is ready.
